Celebrated Stages, Unforgettable Melodies

As a Hindustani classical singer, I have had the privilege of performing on prestigious stages and connecting with audiences nationwide:

  • Indian Habitat Centre, Delhi – Classical Baithaks: Performed pure classical concerts, bringing the depth of ragas to intimate audiences.

     

  • Basantotsav Festival, Ranchi: Participated in this cultural festival organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra and supported by the Ministry of Culture.

     

  • Subha-e-Banaras, Assi Ghat, Banaras (2019 & 2023): Graced the historic stage of Banaras, performing classical compositions.

     

  • Bhajan Sandhyas in Banaras: Invited by Pt. Pooran Maharaj for soulful devotional performances.

     

  • Collaborations with Acharya Jayant Bose: Performed at Kala Mandir, Kolkata, and Mohit Moitra Mancha, Dum Dum.

     

  • Recordings: Contributed classical pieces for Bengali film Ek Din Thik and Tagore album Devi by Basabdatta Majumdar.

     

All India Radio & Doordarshan: Regular performances, sharing classical and light classical music with audiences nationwide.

Her recorded work includes a classical piece for the Bengali film “Ek Din Thik” and renditions of Tagore songs for the recital album “Devi” by Basabdatta Majumdar. She contributed regularly to All India Radio’s Yuvavani until age 30, sharing the beauty of classical tradition across the airwaves.

The sacred intimacy of the Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi became the setting for her semi-classical Baithak, presented by Swaranjali. Internationally, she served as a jury member at the 14th Cultural Olympiad in Dubai, UAE, under the joint aegis of ABSS and UNESCO, celebrating universal artistry across cultures.

Nibedita’s regular appearances on Doordarshan and invitations to festivals like Subha-e-Banaras at Assi Ghat (2019 & 2023) mark significant milestones in her career.
